Irene and Bill’s day at Green Ridge begins at dawn as they rise for their Pilates lesson bringing the promise of a peaceful brand-new day as the world outside awaits with a daily reminder of the creative canvas that surrounds them.
Their morning really kicks off with a refreshing and invigorating swim in the heated pool.
As they gracefully glide through the warm water, it’s as if time stands still. Their bodies and souls are rejuvenated, ready to seize the day.
Coffee with friends at the Pavilion cafe follows, where the inviting aroma dances in the air. It’s a bustling social hub of connection, where new people meet, friends gather, stories are shared, and laughter flows. It’s here that Irene and Bill nurture bonds that have become as cherished as family.
Today, they plan a special family luncheon in the magnificent multi-purpose dining space, a grand and opulent Pavilion that can easily accommodate their entire clan. It’s not just a dining space; it’s a place where family can take centre stage. Surrounded by their adoring children and grandchildren, they savour precious time together listening to another Green Ridge resident playing some classic acoustic covers on the grand piano.
The luxurious afternoon brings some ‘you time,’ a time to pursue passions or nurture the soul. Irene finds herself in the enchanting and well-equipped arts and crafts room, where her creative spirit soars painting the picturesque landscapes of a Pokolbin spring morning. A seasoned painter, she gracefully mentors fellow residents, generously sharing her boundless artistic wisdom.
Bill, on the other hand, heads to the beautifully appointed billiards room to engage in spirited and friendly competition over a quiet beer.
As the sun sets, they decide to head out for a walk around the grounds greeting their friends and new folks along the way.
After their walk, they revel in a gourmet dinner in the opulent indoor/outdoor dining area. A movie night at the Pavilion’s state-of-the-art cinema follows.
